Who Counts as a Tribe

Prop 45 would create a faster environmental review track for housing, energy, water and other essential projects. On those projects, it would limit tribal consultation to federally recognized tribes, and the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe would lose its say before ground is broken in its homeland.
